Why Better Home Inspections

Hi, my name is Doug Lucas, owner and inspector for Better Home Inspections Ltd. I have been inspecting homes since 2013. I am a professionally trained, licensed and insured home inspector, certified through Consumer Protection BC.

I have done renovations and home repairs for over 25 years and have repaired almost every problem a home can have. While many can see problems, I have the experience to understand them and give you the proper perspective on them, within the context of your purchase decision. Understanding the issues and how to remediate them provides a better perspective from which to make an informed buying decision.

My job is to ensure that you the customer understands the issues involved in what you are purchasing but my job does not end when the report is delivered.
